Join a great team at one of the world's most recognized companies! Our client is a global pharmaceutical company with offices worldwide and excellent working conditions. They are looking to have a Medicinal Chemist work directly with their Drug Discovery team on a fixed-term contract. Some on-site travel to various client locations in both the US and Europe is required.

For the fixed term, your employer will be Allied Clinical Management GmbH, a leading pharmaceutical research and development company based in Berlin, Germany. ACM has collaborated with this client for over 20 years and has sourced many of their external experts, who have subsequently become permanent employees of the client. The Medicinal Chemist can be located anywhere in the EU or the United States. Remote / home-office is an option.

This position can begin immediately depending on your availability. Initially you will be offered a 6 – 12 month fixed-term contract, with the option of switching to an internal contract once the project period has ended.

Description of Responsibilities

  • Must be able to support SAR/SPR strategy, compound design, cross functional integration, data-driven decision-making, and IP review
  • Must have experience in Drug Design for Projects in Cardiovascular, Oncology, Immunology
  • Must be strong in project management with ability to lead strategic decision making
  • Experience with Schrödinger Live Design is an asset / willingness to learn and work with Live Design is of key importance.
  • Remote work from any location in Europe or US. Needs to be able to travel to the client’s sites if needed
  • Fluency in English (oral, written)

 

Requirements

  • You should have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, with around 15 years of experience in early drug discovery services from hit identification through preclinical candidate (PCC)
  • A valid work permit for the EU is required at the time of application. Due to the fixed-term contract, sponsoring will not be an option for this role.

Benefits / Salary

  • Salary range: €120,000–€130,000 depending on profile and experience in managing hematology, immunology and oncology drug discovery projects 
  • 30 days paid vacation per year
